M.L.K. Day

On Martin Luther King Day, January 16th our Steve’s Club KoP will be participating in a day of service. The kids will be writing letters/making cards for the service men and women of Kandahar CrossFit in Afghanistan. Following which they will complete the same hero WOD that Kandahar CrossFit will doing that day. This project will be a great opportunity for our kids to connect with their Steve’s Club value of "Community".

We have asked Kandahar CrossFit what it is that their members can really use. Their reply was, "chalk". Apparently they go through it much faster than they can get it through government funding.

We are asking for CrossFit KOP members to support the project by donating money to purchase letter/card making supplies, postage and chalk. Please place cash or checks made out to 'Steve's Club King of Prussia' in the envelope at the front desk. Thank you in advance for your support!

Aimee, this is awesome! Some of the people I trained at Ft. Sam are members of CFK. Let me know if you need help.

Aim,
I have a number of things that can be used for this event. I'm happy to help out as well as clearly, this is right up my alley.

Also, if anyone is planning on buying postage, please buy "forever" stamps as the postal rate is changing that week and forever stamps work...well, forever...without needing to add additional postage when the rate changes.
