The 2010 CFKoP Sectionals crew!

CrossFit Games Sectionals 2011

We’ve banded together with some of the other regional affiliates to create an exciting take on this year’s CF Games Sectional process. Instead of running the event each weekend, we’ve decided to rotate the event to increase the amount of competition and create the exciting environment that we all enjoyed from year’s past.

Here is the tentative schedule for the rotation (subject to change):

March 19th – CrossFit Delaware Valley, Broomall, PA
March 26th – CrossFit King of Prussia, Bridgeport, PA Click here to register for the CFKoP sectional.
April 2nd – Crossfit Generation, Hatboro-Horsham, PA
April 9th – CrossFit Inspire – Malvern, PA
April 16th – CrossFit Explode, West Chester, PA
April 23rd – CrossFit Apex, Harleysville, PA

Each event will start registration at 9AM with first heats starting by 10AM. The cost to attend the event at any of the listed boxes will be $20 per event, which covers the entry fee and helps the host box with incidentals, etc. Registration will be in two parts:

1 – All athletes will need to register as a competitor on the CF Games site, which is due to be released next week. This process is owned by CF HQ.

2 – If an athlete wishes to perform the workout at the weekly designated box, he/she will need to visit that gym’s website and follow the registration process listed there. Some of the gyms will be handling this electronically, while others will use email to sign folks up. In any case, signup processes will go live on these gym websites within the next few weeks.

Since we are hosting the event on 3/26, we will need to do our best to put on a good show and run a smooth event. If you are available to help out, please post to comments. We will need volunteers to run registration, handle spectators and parking, and judge the workout heats. Also we have committed to sending two judges to each sectional event, so please again post to comments if you would like to be a judge at one of the other events listed above.

Rob Miller has graciously created a blog to manage these events and communication. Click here to view the blog. I will create a link on the side bar of our blog for easy access to this on a daily basis. Make sure to use this link to register for our event if you plan on competing on 3/26 at CrossFit King of Prussia.

We are excited to be part of this process and wish you all good luck at Sectionals!!

The CrossFit Games Page is live. You can find the link on crossfit.com.

Our team is set up so once you join the competition (10 dollars), you can request to join team KoP and I will confirm you.

Our team name is CrossFit King of Prussia. If you have questions, please let me know.

Would love to be at KoP on the 26th but will be wedding gown shopping with our daughter that day. Happy to judge/volunteer elsewhere though!

For those having trouble joining our team...once you register, go to the top of the page where it says, "Athletes and Teams" and click on "Find Teams". If you search for CrossFit King of Prussia, you will find us and ask to join. I will approve you.

Thanks.

I am available to judge except for 4/2 (I think I'm coaching at KoP that morning - if not, then no problem).
