The CrossFit Summer Slam 2012


The CrossFit Summer Slam has been announced at CrossFit Generation on July 28th and we have been selected to be one of the gyms to compete! I'd like to get as many athletes as possible to complete.  See below regarding some details, we are looking for 4 teams of 6 athletes, so...24 athletes in all. Who's in?

1) Time will be from 8am-3pm on July 28th total time including registration and warm-up.  They are also going to have a BBQ/picnic afterwards if anyone wants to hang around.

2) Each team will get to perform 3 events and the top 6 teams will perform a 4th event.

3) WODs will be doable by most athletes.  We expect the event to be competitive, but fun for everyone.

4) WODs will include running, sled dragging, Clean & Jerks, Jump Rope, Swings, Squats.  WOD 4 will be more difficult, but still doable.

5) There will be space inside and outside of the gym for tailgating and the such.  If you want to bring tents, that is fine.

6) We will post a sign up next week.

Steinbacher, 22, of La Crescenta, California, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, based in Fort Hood, Texas, died on December 10, 2006 of injuries suffered when insurgents attacked his Humvee with an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, Iraq. “Hope”

"Hope" has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of "rotate," the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.
