Any advice on where to buy better eggs? What should I look for at the supermarket, I know that 'free range' eggs really aren't much different then regular eggs. So what are the best type of eggs to buy?
I get mine from new place called the Rowdy Rooster Hatchery that was just opened by Michael Vick. These free range eggs are packed with testosterone. The ones that hatch go on to be champion fighting cocks.
I have seen that little tomatoe and hundreds of his brothers in my garden.
We've been getting eggs at Whole Foods, the jumbo free range ones are fantastic, much better than anything we got before from regular grocery stores.
Meg,
Yes, I feel like I haven't been eating enough, it's an adjustment to make sure I'm getting enough total calories and in the right balance, definitely a work in progress. Also, the "mouth feel" that I had with some foods is missed, so there's a psychological component to work through. Although 70% cocoa dark chocolate totally rocks!
Megs - Veggies and fruits are much less calorie dense than other carbs like pasta, bread, etc... so if you are cutting out those things and not replacing the missing calories elsewhere in your diet, you may actually be getting too few calories. Do you keep track of that at all?
One other question/thought - are you following the zone recommendation of 2 blocks X 5 times a day, for small women? At one point maybe a month ago I tried to follow that and it definitely was not enough food for me. Now I target a certain number of calories a day, split it up between 5 meals, and use the zone ratios of 40%/30%/30% to guide my food choices.

HAHA! That damn little tomato keeps popping up everywhere.
It's elusive, but if you run real fast you can jump on it and get it on your plate.
Found a great video you would love:

Laura,
Whole foods has really good omega free range eggs. Also if you tell me or see evan, he gets his on the run he makes for milk, meat, etc.
Laura, I buy Egglands best.
Anyone else thinking they aren't eating enough?
usually get cage free eggs from costco ($7 for 2 doz) but a place near work/that telford farm has cheaper ones I think...going to check it out soon
