Nice work to all!! Pretty much everyone in the classes this morning used step ups as the go to for the WOD with a few sprinkling in box jumps, or jump downs from the step ups. Will be interesting to see how that strategy works out.

Shout out to Dinger who doubted himself with the 115# overhead, and did strict PP without fail unbroken each round. That is one of the things the open is about, expanding the limits of your own beliefs of what it possible.

  2. do you have to jump on the boxes fpr it to count towards the open?

  3. I'll be sure to post my result this weekend. Last night was an experiment/practice, but oh well, it got posted. Fellas don't use that as a gauge.. We need some cats in the 270s. Never stop on the box jump.

  4. Step up/downs took a lot longer but my legs were smoked and I don't think I would have been able to do regular box jumps. At least with the step ups, I kept moving the whole time with very little rest.

    1. Oh correction for KT - 288 .... Only got 3 box jumps at the end! P.S. do step ups!!! They are faster!

  7. I agree with the step-up strategy. I was able to keep going the entire time. If I would have done box jumps, I would have probably stopped to catch my breath. Also, when I do box jumps I always step down because it bothers my knees to jump down. Before I started we timed how long it took me to do 5 step up and down and 5 jump up step down and it was the same...the only difference was that I was able to keep moving for the entire 10 minutes. Good Luck to everyone that still needs to go!

  9. I left a Harbinger Back brace at the Box tonight. Would someone mind setting it aside so I can grab it Monday?

    Thanks,
