Death by 10 meters

Matching Dumbbells

&...the Butt Test!

Death by 10 Meters

Run 10 meters the first minute. 20 the second, 30 the third, etc. If you cannot complete the required distance for that round, then rest a full minute and start working the ladder back down until you reach 20 minutes total.

(compare to 7.16.10)

and then...

Lunge suicide by 10 Meters

In 7 minutes work as a team of three complete as many 10 meter stretches of walking lunges as possible. One person works at a time. Ladies 25# Dumbbells. Men 45# Dumbbells.
10 meters of walking lunges = 1
20 meters of walking lunges = 2

Nice work on this deadly duo! Remember on workouts like this to use your rest intentionally. Instead of talking, or moving around- stand still, breathe deep, think about your heart rate slowing down- it will pay off in later rounds- when you get little to no rest.

Peter, I missed your score. Feel free to post to comments!

  3. Hi, not to be a jerk, but my score was 17. I just wanted it noted, so I could see it if Aimee ever references this workout. Thanks!

  4. Drew- don't ever feel like a jerk for correcting a typo in your score!! CrossFit math is hard- even for coaches (especially even!)
    Sorry about that!

  5. I think Steph forgot me. I completed 17. THanks

  6. Do we have to touch the 10m line with our hand, or just cross it?

    ReplyDelete
  7. recording this mornings scores= SUPER FAIL. Sorry Megs!!

This mornings class the standard was atleast one foot had to cross the line.

  8. i am confused how these are scored. if i got to 15 minutes without failing, and then failed on 16, my score would normally be 15. after the minute break, if i complete 14, 13 and 12...is my score still 15 or is it now 18 based on how steph scored hers?

  9. We scored it by the last successfull attempt.

  10. Jason, I think that the score should be 15 for your example. Your example exactly reflects my performance and scoring from this morning.

  11. Yes, the standards for this workout can have ranges all over the place, but the most known standards I have come across are one hand touching down at the line, regardless of where the feet are, and just like Jasons example, your score would be the minute that you did successfully, not the minute on which you failed.

  17. The 4:30 and 5:30 class standard was to touch and step over the line and had a measured distance of 10 meters which is a foot longer than 5 mats

Can you zoom in on the second picture? there is a guy in the back by the ladies room with a gun? who killed Byrnsey......
