Eva was soaking wet for the 6am class! Great work from all taking on Evil Eva!!
Remember in a long one like this- it can help to commit to sets where you either string reps or atleast stay "connected" to the equipment you are using. For example "I will do 5 pullups before taking my hands down from the bar." or "i will not put the KB down for 15 reps" Other wise- mentally you may find yourself putting down the bell, or walking away from the pull up bar between each rep or small sets of reps as it gets harder- those seconds add up- add up too more time in the suck!
Dearest Eva,
ReplyDeleteI have missed you. It has been so long since I saw you last that Aimee didn't even put the date link on the blog. You are so much prettier than your sister Helen. Thinking of you makes my heart bleed; completing you makes my hands bleed and my legs ache. Three hundred reps and two and a half miles is a small price to pay for the opportunity to kneel at your feet, trying not to hurl in the bucket.
Love always, Todd
P really posts some great stuff on his blog. I'm picking up 10lbs of grass fed bison liver tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSad I missed this one :-(
ReplyDeleteYou can do it at home Mike!
ReplyDeleteI might try that liver recipe too. Only pasture raised though. That picture was crazy.
Sorry I missed this one too - with a 12 hour trail run tomorrow it wasn't a good idea. Eva, please come back again soon.
ReplyDeleteTids and Mike,
ReplyDeleteEva just called me and said she's always available the 1st thursday of any month
I'm going to make liver pate this weekend using this: http://www.thepaleodrummer.com/2012/01/paleo-beef-liver-pate-way-to-get-yer.html which is very similar to Chris' post.
ReplyDeleteThanks Megs!!!!! Tidmore and I are spoken for this Thursday . . . . we're going up and down a latter to get to Naughty Katy . . . . . . details will be forthcoming.
ReplyDeletePunching out . . . . off for a few hours of fun and games in D.C. and the surrounding environs.
Stephanie - great advice! Also - scale wisely if you wanna get through the whole thing (and not ready for Rx)...
ReplyDeletewe'll meet again, Eva! :-)
Hi Aimee...looks like you forgot to add my time next to my name....my time was 37:34 :-) I can't wait to not see eva again
ReplyDeleteI think liver is the most disgusting this on Earth unless it comes from a force fed goose in which case, it is one of my favorite things on Earth.
ReplyDeleteTodd- we miss you. Come back soon.
ReplyDeleteOlan- Nice work today!!
Mike and Tidmore- let's put Eva on our list. I want to do this one too.
Liver- blech!!!!!
I was starving in Patagonia three years ago and turned down liver pate...yuck!
ReplyDeleteMelanie - yes we will

Absolutely outstanding effort tonight--especially impressed with so many newcomers showing up for this and for going all five rounds--bold choice! Eva is a tough, tough WOD. Loved the fight from everyone tonight--whether you kept a steady rowing pace, held onto the bell for longer than you thought, ran in the cold, or busted your asses to hang onto the pullup bar and fight for that chin up over the bar, I was proud of all of you tonight.
Also: extra kudos to 4/4 signing in for the 530, and 10/15 signing in at the 630. WAY TO GO.
what a workout today - Eva is one tough girl. Nothing like running in the rain at 6:00am with frosty falls to your right and a ton of kettle bells and pulls ups awaiting you in the box, and then 4 more times to see frosty falls and what you are made of. I totally love it, - thanks Steph for a great morning. Eva I hope I do not see you soon!
ReplyDeleteFrom John King
John - lucky for you she doesn't come around often!
ReplyDelete(sorry i'm still a few days late - i also did all 5 rounds!)
