  7. I'll just crawl down to Frosty Falls when I'm done...maybe take a ride on the growler to get there.

  8. Jason- I was thinking about your favorite word "Nyaaahh! (or however you spell it). You can create a cutom shirt on zazzle (http://www.zazzle.com/create). You can create custom anything on that website.

  9. I seriously thought Todd would have to be taken to the Bridgeport University Hospital that day.

  10. I remember Aimee telling me that it was not uncommon to put three baselines in one workout for time. I thought she was nuts. Now I know she is. I am surprised that this is only one round! That's Aimee's favorite word, only!

  11. Yep Todd...LOL
The motivational word of the day is "only"!!

  12. 3 rounds of the baseline has been known send the most veteran CF'ers to the "bucket."

  13. After 1 year of crossfitting, this will be my first baseline ever! Is it really that bad?

  14. i wonder if i will crumple in exhaustion like i did in July when i completed my first baseline.

  15. Karen:

No matter how long you have been doing CF, you should try to crumble from exhaustion when you finish. It is important to understand that this never gets easier. We should always strive to push as hard as we can. When you finish start out, you may finish in 15 minutes and you crumble because it was all you had. When you have been doing CF for a while, you may finish in 4 minutes and you should still crumble because you gave everything you have. Never expect to get to a point where you just do this stuff and it is easy. If it is easy, you are not pushing hard enough. :)

  16. I hear you Jason. In the beginning, just finishing took everything I had. Now I really have to push myself to have the same intensity. Sometimes I forget what real intensity feels like. Then I see someone new giving it everything they've got and it inspires me to push a little harder.

  17. i nearly passed out after my first baseline, which was literally one year and one day ago (happy anniversary to me!). aimee took one look at me, apparently white as a sheet and swaying, and asked if an apple would help. i've never seen someone run so quickly to get anything in my life.

that was the LAST time i came to crossfit without eating first.

holy cow, what a year it's been since then!

  19. Great effort today everyone! A special shout out to Sheng Ching for chopping 4 minutes off her baseline time in only 5 weeks of CrossFit! And great job Jeff for taking on the rower for the first time. Your form and pace got better each 500 meter interval. You're gonna be an animal on the rower!
