Well looks like ill be there tuesday night! Looking forward to giving it a go rx! joe, jay jim c I'm expecting to see the big guys represent!
ReplyDeleteAfter attempting the wall many times without getting over it last night, I woke up this morning to very bruised arms. I think that makes the score Wall - 1, Lindsey - 0.
ReplyDeleteSheesh that's some heavy weight Tom!
ReplyDeleteLindsey-
ReplyDeleteI predict Wall -1, Lindsey -1 next time!!!
Tom:
ReplyDeleteThis workout wrecked me. I thought it was going to be easier than it was. The cleans just slowed me down big time.
Jason, since you have been destroyed by the Hummer, how do you recommend sclaing fo rthe ladies? I am no where close to 185 squat or a 125 clean. Do we do a certain percentage of our max on each of these?
ReplyDeleteMel- since the squat and the deadlift have to be the same weight, your deadlift will be determined by the weight you can squat. I'd go at about 80% of your 1RM for Squat and Clean.
ReplyDeleteWe are not powerlifters so I am going to guess that all of us will be limited by our backsquat. This workout was roughly 80% of my one rep max so that is a place to start. The clean is roughly 80% of my one rep max as well.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was doing this, I tried to get 3 backsquats at a time. In the end, I was getting 2. I thought Tom orginally wanted power cleans and so I was doing 1 at a time. This is supposed to be heavy for you.
Jay,
ReplyDeleteSeems ur pretty good at the hummer :) get ur mind outa the gutter people!
Seriously way to kick ass!!!
