In the beginning, it was traditional movements performed at ultra high intensity and I would like to see that back. I feel that happened in the open. It catered to the generalist but the fittest are still on top, i.e. Froning and Clever.

I have made the argument that with the heavy weight, CF has broken down the 33/33/33 ratio of weightlifting/gymnastics/monostructural and has begun to favor the weightlifter. The Open Sectionals did not do that so I liked them but it may have gone to far to the other side. If the weights get heavier, it only makes sense to make the gymnastics component equally as difficult, say iron cross hold or something where a big man is just going to get punished.

I would love a Regionals with ALL girl workouts, similar to the last WOD in Carson last year.Jason Lyonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08145200509096560866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763498271020432071.post-41341542810691307462012-04-18T12:36:59.922-04:002012-04-18T12:36:59.922-04:00Good article on drowning and what to look for here...Good article on drowning and what to look for here.Tim Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03605086667998791736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763498271020432071.post-78955384061693603322012-04-18T11:32:29.649-04:002012-04-18T11:32:29.649-04:00I predict more creativity this year for regionals....I predict more creativity this year for regionals. I.e. buddy carries, all six athletes having to participate, relay runs, relay rows, relays followed by max effort deads or squat cleans. I think the skills will be rope climbs, MU's, pistols and HSPU's. I also believe we will see longer time domains considering they are moving up the start times of the first heats as compared to last year. I def think heavy KB swings and thrusters will be in play and maybe a DB snatch.dannynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763498271020432071.post-18134493184744081992012-04-18T10:01:48.101-04:002012-04-18T10:01:48.101-04:00Regional Wods come out today!
